  Mission Statement  

The mission of Sumter County Schools is to graduate all students.

The mission of Americus-Sumter Ninth Grade Academy is to assist all freshmen in making a smooth transition into high school, and in meeting the rigorous high school standards in order to graduate all students.

The theme for this year is "Success, Nothing Less".

  About The School  


Americus-Sumter Ninth Grade Academy has a current student enrollment of 260 students.

There are 28 teachers.

The curriculum covers core subjects including science, social studies, mathematics, and language arts. We also offer career preparatory classes in agriculture, business and technology, early childhood education, culinary arts, and Army JROTC. Other courses include chorus, band, foreign language, health, and physical education.

Our school's administration includes Principal Cindy Anglin, Assistant Principal Martin Mitchell, and Counselor Samantha Huiras.
