Principal's Corner

Principal's Message

Dear Panther Nation,

Everyday at Americus-Sumter Ninth Grade Academy (ASNGA), we discuss with our Panthers about "The Panther Way! Leading, Learning, and Loving."  We expect every student to be a leader and a positive light which will be a reflection upon themselves, their parents, and ASNGA.  In addition, we want every student to be the best that they can be academically.  Students are to perform better than they did the day before.

Personally, all students have to live up to my expectations of: 1) "Getting an 'A' in every single class;" and 2) "Passing every single class the first time." These are high expectations but they are doable expectations for every single student in our building.  Ultimately, if the Class of 2020 meet these expectations, then every single one of them will walk across the stage and receive their high school diploma from Americus-Sumter High School; more importantly, they will be college and career ready.  Our students will be able to follow their hopes, dreams, and aspirations in life.  They will know how to be life-long learners.

Lastly, at ASNGA, we want our students to respect themselves, respect others, and become a close-knit family here but also out in our wonderful community of Americus and Sumter County.  This will show that we are a family, and family takes care of each other.

We invite you to come out and see all of the great things our students are doing at ASNGA.  And we hope you will join us in doing things "The Panther Way!"
